The client here requested the creation of a double fronted house with a large open family area to the rear.

A long extension across the back makes the most of the sunny garden. Tucking the kitchen to one side, the space between the study and kitchen houses a large utility, pantry and shower room. Generous floor to ceiling storage walls were created in the kitchen, hall and landing.

From the garden the new rear wall is finished in a maintenance free render in charcoal grey. This colour was chosen to match with the metal drainage channel, roof fascia and windows to create a dark grey addition that contrasts with the existing painted wet dash. At the front; the side extension’s form and materials create an addition that matches seamlessly with the house and existing terrace.
