The brief was to create a good sized open plan kitchen, sitting, dining. By placing a large utility and WC in the old rear dining room, a U shaped kitchen is tucked into the existing house with dining and sitting in a new garden room. A large kitchen peninsula divides the space while over looking the sitting dining, and out to the garden. This provides an abundance of work/counter space for cooking prepping etc.

A raised terrace flush with the ground floor level of the house maximises views of the rear. Brick pillars, and a render connection left space for an automated shade canopy which was installed after completion. Also included are an opened up under stairs for cloaks, buggy, etc., flush to ceiling steel support in main space, glazed door to main space and velux roof light over the stairs.
