The house needed a full upgrade and improved family spaces. The south facing rear garden was not linked to and the ground floor plan was a maze of separate rooms. 

Opening up across the back created a good size family space that linked private spaces at the front and garden to the rear. Going linear across the back maximised the garden, creating a long patio level with the garden for working, relaxing on. Behind the old converted garage a shower room with roof light and utility and plant were installed.

An existing porch was re built using existing bricks; extra tall glazing emphasising the entry to the house. This porch was brought into the main space extending the hall and creating a generous entry space. Under the stairs was opened up for buggies, coats, bags etc.

The rear new addition uses light coloured Marziale brick; steel trims, downpipes and windows bring the simple form to life.
